Side of Beef – Premium, Grass Fed, Grain Finished, Aged to Perfection and Butchered to your Specifications

• Our cows are grass fed in open pastures.
• Our Cows receive no hormones, antibiotics, implants etc. (You can do your own research on all of that).
• About 3 to 4 months before processing, the cattle are supplemented with grain (corn, oats, barley, etc.). This adds marbling to your steaks.
• At no time are the cattle moved into a feed lot, they will be left on pasture their entire life.
• Once the cattle have reached optimal weight and condition, you will receive a cut sheet to select how you want to receive your half (Rib eyes or prime rib, etc…)
• At the processor, the beef is hung and aged from 14 to 21 days before being butchered, vacuum packed, boxed and delivered to your home.
**Note that at current processor volume, beef delivery is approximately 3 weeks from drop off at the processor, however that can vary at times.
We’re offering this for $6.00 per pound hanging weight. Hanging weight is the weight of the carcass after the waste has been removed. A 1000 pound steer will have a hanging weight of about 600 lbs. (or 300 lbs. per side) The actual finished weight of your beef delivery will vary a little based on your cut preferences. At this estimated weight and price, half of a steer should run between $1700 and $2200+ depending on the weight. Keep in mind that a side of beef is a large amount and you will need a second freezer to store it. A side of beef should keep a family of 4 to 6 people in beef for a year. The remainder of the cost, minus this deposit will be due upon delivery.
This includes processing AND delivery to your home in or around Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Waco or East Texas. (Not available outside of local delivery area.)
